Qualifications

Background in a related field.
Experience working with high school students in leadership, advisory, or extracurricular settings.
Ability to mentor and guide students in leadership development and service learning.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to organize events and supervise students outside of school day and field trips.

Responsibilities

Holds organized, supervised practice as the program requires.
Teaches the skills necessary to participate and to be competitive in National Honor Society.
Develops seasonal goals and objectives and daily plans.
Maintains a record that includes information about equipment, supplies, student eligibility, and emergency medical information.
Ensures adult supervision of students before and after meetings, competitions, and on bus trips.
Follows all specified standards, policies, and procedures of the building and Ashland School District.
Actively encourages student participation.
Promotes the ethical value of students.
