Job summary

Harris County Public Health (HCPH) seeks a .NET Developer to design, develop, and modernize enterprise web applications supporting public health programs. The role provides technical leadership and partners with stakeholders to implement business solutions, translating needs into functional systems.

Responsibilities include building SPAs with C#, Angular, REST APIs, and Visual Studio; configuring workflows, integrating APIs, and improving performance, security, and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or closely related field.
• Three (3) years of experience developing and supporting web-based applications using modern programming languages and relational databases.
• Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, Angular, TypeScript, REST APIs, SQL databases and version control practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise single-page applications using C#, Angular, REST APIs, and Visual Studio.
• Perform system configurations, setup workflows, design custom modules, and integrate third-party APIs to enterprise software platforms.
• Analyze existing software architectures and recommend improvements for performance, security, and maintainability.
• Lead project meetings with customers to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Perform code reviews and assist troubleshooting application defects.
• Other duties as assigned include special tasks involved in responding to an emergency event.
