Job summary

Cleburne Independent School District is seeking a Music Teacher to provide engaging music instruction to students on an exempt basis under the Teacher Pay Scale. The position requires 187 instructional days and reports to the Principal.

The teacher will collaborate with staff to align with district and TEA guidelines. Responsibilities include planning lessons, assessing student progress, supervising aides, and integrating technology to enhance learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Texas teaching certificate or appropriate endorsements
• Demonstrated competency in core subject area
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and TEA guidelines
• Create lessons accommodating different learning styles
• Present subject matter according to policies and regulations
• Plan and use diverse instructional strategies and materials
• Assess student learning and adjust instruction accordingly
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula as needed per IEPs
• Set instructional goals with staff and supervise aides/volunteers
• Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning
• Lead extracurricular activities as assigned
• Communicate with parents and staff to maintain professional relationships
• Participate in staff development and comply with regulations
• Maintain and file required reports and attend faculty meetings
• Supervise assigned teacher aide(s)
