Job summary

Brown County Middle School in Nashville, IN, is seeking an Assistant Track Coach to support the Head Coach in developing and sustaining a middle school track and field program. The role emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, physical fitness, and student-athlete development.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of track and field events, training, and conditioning.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with middle school students.
• Prior coaching or track experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and supervising practices, meets, and team activities.
• Teach proper techniques, conditioning, and skills related to track and field events.
• Support the Head Coach in developing athletes' abilities and promoting teamwork.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes.
• Encourage good sportsmanship, positive behavior, and academic success.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and coaching staff.
• Assist with equipment, team organization, and other program responsibilities.
• Follow all Brown County Schools policies, athletic department guidelines, and applicable athletic regulations.
