Qualifications

• Coaches must complete NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching and First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches before assuming the position.
• NFHS Heat Illness Prevention course may be required annually.
• NFHS COVID-19 course may be required for coaches and administrators.

Responsibilities

• State Law health-safety policies must be followed.
• Maintain concussion and Sudden Cardiac Arrest certificates on file annually.
• Complete NFHS coaching courses where applicable and keep copies on file.
• Complete NFHS Heat Illness Prevention course annually when applicable.
• Complete NFHS COVID-19 course for coaches and administrators.
