Job summary

Brown County Schools is seeking a Middle School Head Wrestling Coach to lead and supervise the wrestling program at Brown County Middle School. The coach will plan practices, teach fundamentals, and promote discipline, teamwork, and personal growth among student‑athletes.

The role requires organizing schedules, assessing progress, and ensuring compliance with district policies and governing body rules. A strong focus on safety, communication, and positive leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous wrestling coaching and/or competitive wrestling experience preferred.
• Must meet Brown County Schools coaching requirements, including background checks and required certifications (CPR, First Aid, concussion training, and other state or district requirements).

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct safe, effective practices.
• Instruct student‑athletes in wrestling rules and techniques.
• Develop competition lineups and assist in match strategy.
• Supervise student‑athletes during practices and competitions.
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
• Maintain records and equipment inventories.
• Communicate program expectations and schedules to stakeholders.
