Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a School Psychologist for a contract role at a dynamic middle school near Smithfield, RI. This position begins August 24, 2026 and ends June 17, 2027, offering 32.5 hours per week Monday through Friday and a focused caseload.

You will provide comprehensive psychological services, conduct assessments, support IEP development, and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student achievement and well-being.

Qualifications

• Valid RIDE certification as a School Psychologist.
• Experience with middle school students preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to ethical practices and confidentiality.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize caseload.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychological services to middle school students.
• Conduct assessments to identify academic, behavioral, and emotional needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators and parents to develop plans.
• Support crisis interventions and preventative mental health programs.
• Maintain timely, accurate records and documentation as required.
• Offer guidance on positive behavioral interventions and academic strategies.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights.
