Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a School Psychologist for a contract assignment serving students across elementary through high school in the Bridgeport, CT area. The position runs from August 2026 through June 2027, with a full academic year of weekday hours and a stable work schedule.

You will conduct psychoeducational assessments, collaborate with educators and families, participate in IEP meetings, and provide direct and consultative services to a diverse caseload of about 50 students.

Qualifications

• Connecticut School Psychologist Certification Endorsement #070 through CSDE, or eligibility for certification.
• Masters or specialist graduate degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
• Completion of required coursework and a supervised internship or equivalent field experience as mandated by the state.
• Solid understanding of special education law and best practices for intervention.
• Strong communication, consultation, and teamwork abilities across multidisciplinary school settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to support eligibility decisions and intervention planning.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to design educational and behavioral interventions.
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, manifestation determination processes, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Deliver direct and consultative services, supporting students' social, emotional, and academic development.
• Provide crisis intervention, behavior management, and prevention programming as needed.
