Job summary

Academy of the Pacific Rim is seeking a devoted Middle School ELA Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at our Hyde Park campus in Massachusetts. The role entails delivering standards-aligned ELA instruction to a diverse student body within a rigorous, college-preparatory program.

The ideal candidate holds a Massachusetts teaching certificate or license, with MTEL completion or progress toward; a Bachelor’s degree is required and a Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required. Master’s preferred.
• Massachusetts MTEL passing scores or eligible to test by end of first year.
• SEI endorsement or completion anticipated within first year.
• At least two years teaching experience in a charter or district setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a classroom delivering middle school English/Language Arts instruction.
• Design standards-aligned curricula and units that foster critical thinking.
• Provide ongoing feedback to improve student mastery of targets.
• Collaborate with co-teachers to meet diverse learning needs.
• Leverage data to provide targeted, high-impact interventions.
• Engage families with regular communication about student progress.
