Job summary

Unity is seeking an Internal Coverage Teacher / Operations Associate to keep learning seamless in our middle school. You will deliver planned and unplanned coverage, supporting two 6th grade science classes and partnering with lead teachers.

The role also involves managing daily coverage, assisting with attendance, events, and testing, and growing through our career pathways and promotion system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; interest in teaching a plus.
• 2+ years experience with children/adolescents in educational or youth settings.
• Growth mindset with high expectations and strong support for students.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with students and families.
• Ability to lead a classroom and support 6th grade science instruction.
• Open to feedback and committed to professional growth.
• Strong work ethic, organization, multitasking, and deadline commitment.
• Comfort with operational systems, spreadsheets, and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality instruction during planned and unplanned staff absences, delivering lesson plans with fidelity.
• Co-teach in two 6th grade science classes and support small groups and individual students.
• Help manage the daily coverage schedule and support arrival, dismissal, and transitions.
• Assist with attendance, materials, and school events/testing.
• Grow as an educator and pursue career pathways and promotions.
