Job summary

Tutor Partners, LLC in California is seeking experienced middle and high school math tutors to provide in-person tutoring at Los Angeles County Office of Education Juvenile Court Schools, including Camp Glenn Rockey. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–12:00 pm, through the end of the 2026-27 school year; pay rate is $20–$30 per hour.

Qualifications include an Associate’s degree or minimum 24 college credits (Bachelor’s degree preferred); experience with grades 6–12 and ability to pass required

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or minimum of 24 college credits required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience working with students in grades 6-12; experience in juvenile justice or alternative education settings a plus
• Strong content knowledge in middle and high school math, experience tutoring ELA is a plus
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to pass required background clearances (e.g., LiveScan/fingerprinting) as required by LACOE
• Reliable transportation to assigned site

Responsibilities

• Provide small-group and push-in math support aligned to student needs during the school day
• Track and report student progress
• Participate in instructional planning with teachers and school leaders, administration of assessments, and coordination meetings
• Collaborate with Tutor Partners staff and site personnel to coordinate scheduling and materials
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and professional learning environment
