Job summary

ReDiscover is seeking a Counselor Technician to support the CAP program in Raytown, MO. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with an orientation for new hires.

You will monitor clients, coach daily living skills, and help maintain a safe, respectful environment that supports recovery and community integration. You’ll collaborate with a compassionate team, document progress in the EMR, and uphold confidentiality while delivering person-centered care to

Qualifications

• Availability to work 40 hours weekly Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; orientation required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Missouri Class E driver's license and vehicle insurance.
• Knowledge of mental illness and substance use disorders preferred.
• Excellent customer service with recovery focus.
• Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication.
• Intermediate computer skills: typing, Word, Excel, and email.

Responsibilities

• Monitors clients in a safe environment and documents safety rounds.
• Facilitates structured activities aligned with goals and treatment plan.
• Maintains program space cleanliness and protects confidentiality.
• Safeguards PHI and uses EMR as required; requests/releases records.
• Provides life skills coaching and supports community integration.
