Job summary

ReDiscover is seeking a Counselor Technician to support the CAP program in Raytown, MO. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with an orientation for new hires.

You will monitor clients, coach daily living skills, and help maintain a safe, respectful environment that supports recovery and community integration. You’ll collaborate with a compassionate team, document progress in the EMR, and uphold confidentiality while delivering person-centered care to

Qualifications

• Availability to work 40 hours weekly Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; orientation required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Missouri Class E driver's license and vehicle insurance.
• Knowledge of mental illness and substance use disorders preferred.
• Excellent customer service with recovery focus.
• Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication.
• Intermediate computer skills: typing, Word, Excel, and email.

Clients receive medically necessary on-site services in a clustered apartment setting because of a history of failure in multiple community settings and/or the presence on an ongoing risk of harm to self or others which would otherwise require long term psychiatric hospitalization.**What You'll Do*** Monitors clients in a safe environment, performing and documenting client safety rounds. This includes ADL monitoring and coaching (i.e. life skills, communication skills, community integration, etc.).* Facilitates structured activities with clients in accordance with their goals and treatment plan.* Demonstrates culturally competent respect for all clients, guests and staff through verbal and non-verbal behaviors and assists them as needed.* Maintains cleanliness of the program space.* Safeguards Protected Health Information (written and electronically) and maintains confidentiality. This may include providing written documentation, scanning and/or uploading records into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
