Job summary

Encompass Health in Norwood, Ohio is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to help ensure hospital facilities run safely and reliably. The role covers preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and tasks across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and building systems to support patient care.

You will work with minimal supervision, operate EPSS testing, and maintain regulatory compliance while keeping patient, visitor, and staff areas secure.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventative maintenance, equipment repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and/or construction is required. Healthcare experience is a plus.
• Licensing in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely test and operate emergency power supply systems (EPSS).
• Install/maintain/repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pneumatic, and plumbing systems.
• Work independently under supervisor guidance and complete tasks on time.
• Maintain knowledge of facility systems and regulatory standards.
• Perform maintenance and repairs to building and equipment as required.
