Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to ensure facility reliability across hospital systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general maintenance. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and light construction tasks to keep operations safe for patients, visitors, and staff.

You will test and maintain emergency power supply systems (EPSS), work with diverse equipment, and collaborate with a supervisor to complete tasks within set

Qualifications

• Experience with preventative maintenance, equipment repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and/or construction.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
• May require to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and/or night shifts if needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely test and operate emergency power supply systems (EPSS) and components.
• Install/maintain/repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pneumatic, oxygen, and telephone systems.
• Work independently within assigned time frames under supervisor direction.
• Report daily completion to supervisor and maintain records.
