Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking an LSS Project Leader Co-op in the United States (Alabama) to develop and execute cross‑functional project plans within the Life Sustaining Solutions group. You will decompose complex problems, define success metrics, and deliver measurable outcomes with guidance from senior program management.

You will collaborate with Product, Program Management, Engineering, Operations, Sourcing, and Regulatory teams to manage scope, cost, and timing while maintaining risk and issue

Qualifications

• Full‑time student pursuing a degree in Engineering or Business.
• Evidence of structured thinking: experience writing problem statements, defining goals/metrics, outlining plans with owners and timelines.
• Leadership experience in projects, teams, clubs, or community - showing ownership, collaboration, and follow‑through.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills—translate technical details into clear narratives and plans.
• Exposure to project budgeting or basic analytics (e.g., Excel/Sheets, dashboards).

Responsibilities

• Decompose ambiguous problem statements into clear definitions, success criteria and deliverables.
• Create lightweight project plans with milestones, owners, dependencies; keep them current as facts change.
• Define measurable outcomes and track progress; use data to inform decisions and trade‑offs.
• Apply structured problem‑solving methods (e.g., 5-Whys) to identify root causes and propose solutions.
• Support Program Manager to orchestrate multiple projects across LSS and partner teams.
• Proactively manage cross‑functional execution to remove blockers and clarify ownership.
• Maintain a risk/issue/decision log; propose options with impacts on scope, cost and schedule.
• Prepare concise briefings (slides, one-pagers) that capture context, options, and results.
