Job summary

Wellpath seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the AR DOC Omega Parole Unit in Arkansas. The role supports patient care under RN supervision, with responsibilities including medication administration and patient education in a 12-hour daytime shift.

Eligible candidates will have a nursing license in the state, CPR certification, and a preference for at least 1 year of clinic experience. The position offers training opportunities and a mission-driven, therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience.
• Current LPN/LVN license in the state of employment and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, assesses patients’ physical, psychological, and social dimensions.
• Administers medications, including IV therapy if certified, and performs diagnostic tests.
• Collaborates in controlled substance counts and responds to health emergencies.
• Assists in medical procedures, documents nursing encounters, and supports communication among staff.
• Attends mandatory staff meetings and training sessions.
