Job summary

Marlborough Public Schools Richer Elementary School in Marlborough, Massachusetts is seeking a Long Term Substitute Paraeducator for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports students in inclusion, small group, and individual settings under supervision of teachers and special education staff.

Responsibilities include supporting students with IEPs/504 plans, assisting with assessments, data collection, and promoting a safe, respectful learning environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ParaPro test or 48 undergraduate credits preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese) preferred for EL Paras.
• Experience with children in a school setting preferred.
• Team player and collaborative in a school team.
• Able to lift 25 pounds occasionally.
• Able to work indoors and outdoors with diverse learners.
• Confidentiality per FERPA/HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction and supervision of students in inclusion, small group, or individual settings under teacher direction.
• Support students with IEPs/504 plans and administer assessments as directed.
• Data collection and reporting on student progress to staff.
• Escort and supervise students to/from facilities and assist with daily tasks.
• Promote a positive learning environment and collaborate with staff.
• Assist with routine care needs and safety procedures as required.
