Job summary

Marlborough High School is seeking a paraeducator to support students with special needs in inclusion, small group, and individual settings. Position reports to principals and special education staff.

The role requires an Associate's Degree or 48 college credits, ParaPro certification, and ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Bilingual skills in Spanish/Portuguese are preferred for EL Paras; the school emphasizes collaboration and SAFETY.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate's Degree or completion of 48 undergraduate credits from an accredited college or university.
• Pass the ParaPro test.
• Bilingual preferred (Spanish and/or Portuguese) and bilingual required for EL Paras.
• Able to lift twenty-five (25) pounds occasionally and transfer heavier amounts with assistance.
• Must be a team player and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the instruction and supervision of students in various settings under direction.
• Support students with IEPs/504 Plans.
• Assist students with test taking and assessments.
• Provide safety support including de-escalation and physical management as trained.
• Attend training and maintain required certifications.
• Collect progress data and report concerns.
