Job summary

Innovative Network of Knowledge in Dora, Alabama, is seeking a dedicated Early Head Start assistant teacher to support infants and toddlers in a developmentally appropriate classroom. You will collaborate with families, staff, and committees to implement the Frog Street Infants & Toddlers curriculum and ensure progress toward each child’s goals.

Responsibilities include documenting development and health, maintaining confidentiality, and participating in required trainings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with CDA in infant/toddler within 6 months.
• Must obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Typically 2 years of related Head Start classroom experience preferred.
• Prefer bilingual Spanish speakers when qualified.

Responsibilities

• Attend required trainings and meetings.
• Implement Frog Street Infants & Toddlers curriculum with developmentally appropriate activities.
• Collaborate with parents, staff, and committees to meet each child's goals.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with FERPA & HIPPA.
• Document and monitor children's development and health using screenings and assessments.
• Plan developmentally appropriate activities and supervise classroom and outdoor time.
• Support social-emotional development and positive guidance.
• Engage families in learning activities and conferences.
