Job summary

BlueGrace Logistics in Riverview, FL is seeking a Logistics Operations Planner to support the Managed Logistics Team. You will handle freight load planning, carrier and customer communications, and operational problem solving to keep shipments moving from origin to destination.

You’ll collaborate with the Operations Manager and Logistics Performance Director, identify savings opportunities, and create standard work instructions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Logistics or related field or 1+ year logistics experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of TMS preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both oral and written.
• Strong collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Answer inquiries from carriers, clients, and/or customers
• Mode optimization
• Investigation and resolution of issues submitted by customers, carriers and/or suppliers
• Act as liaison between operations, carriers, and customers
• Daily interaction with internal staff, carriers, and customer personnel
• Prioritize workload with Operations Manager and Logistics Performance Director
• Savings identification
• Documentation of issues (carrier, supplier, customer)
• Relationship building with customer contacts, carriers and suppliers
• Creation of standard work instructions (SWI) and process improvement identification
• Continuously review procedures to lower cost and increase performance
