We seek someone with at least one year of experience, strong communication, and a commitment to high-quality care in diverse settings.

Qualifikationen

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid California Driver’s License.
• Ability to successfully complete fingerprint clearance.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening and maintain compliance with the agency's policy.
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Sensitivity to the needs of individuals with IDD and their families.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds independently and more with assistive devices.
• Ability to frequently bend, squat, twist, sit, stand, and move throughout the workday.

Aufgaben

• Provide direct supervision and support to clients with developmental disabilities.
• Implement ICPs and assist with achieving short and long-term goals.
• Foster positive relationships with clients, families, and other caregivers.
• Observe and report on client health and well-being.
• Assist clients with toileting and hygiene based on individual needs.
• Promote client independence and dignity with essential daily living activities.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with program directors and coordinators.
• Timely completion of daily logs.
• Participate in program meetings, trainings, and staff development activities.
• Build strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.
• Manage client schedules and document service-related activities.
• Identify and troubleshoot community barriers for clients.
• Assist with developing and updating client training programs.
• Implement Positive Behavioral Support strategies.
• Administer first aid and other basic care tasks.
• Maintain hygiene of client and environment; prevent exposure to communicable diseases.
