Job summary

Walk Of Life Residential Care Inc in California is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist adults with intellectual, developmental, or cognitive disabilities in daily living and community integration. DSPs will act as role models, follow program plans, and help residents develop independence and self-advocacy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year caregiving experience in ARF or similar setting.
• CPR/First Aid certification or within 30 days of hire.
• Valid California driver license or DMV ID.

Responsibilities

• Function as a role model and encourage positive interactions.
• Familiarize with the program plan for residents.
• Understand behavior modification techniques and how to apply them.
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Document incidents and maintain progress notes.
• Support independent living skills and community integration.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, hygiene, and meals as needed.
• Support safe transfers and daily tasks like laundry and housekeeping.
