Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance seeks a Life Service Specialist to support agents and policy owners with policy information and transactions for traditional and universal life products. You will handle calls, perform policy changes, and ensure accurate processing of forms and payments, contributing to a high level of customer service.

The role involves coordinating with agents and banks, issuing policy details, and maintaining records while upholding compliance and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree; two years’ customer service experience or five years’ customer experience.
• Basic insurance knowledge preferred.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Basic Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, Windows).
• Typing speed about 25 wpm.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist agents and policy owners with information on policies and service requests.
• Handle multiple calls and process transactions.
• Correspond with agents, policyowners, banks to provide policy details.
• Process policy changes (addresses, names, beneficiaries, ownership, dividends).
• Determine required forms and ensure accuracy; endorse forms when needed.
• Quote policy information and verify proper authorization for distributions.
• Research and apply payments; contact owners/agents when needed.
• Send annual reports and tax forms as requested.
• Perform basic research on policy transactions and record journal entries.
