Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Chicago seeks a Leveraged Finance Credit Risk Vice President to join the Business Services risk team. You will identify key risk factors and develop forward-looking risk assessments across assigned portfolios to support senior bankers.

You will work with Investment Banking Coverage, Global Corporate Banking, and product teams to review, structure, risk-rate, and approve new lending; you will mentor Analysts and Associates while scaling risk management across portfolios.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required with strong financial analysis skills.
• MBAs or CFAs preferred for advanced credit analysis.
• Experience in commercial/investment banking lending and credit structuring.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate new credit origination requests with forward-looking risk assessment.
• Lead client due diligence and use financial models to assess risk impact on value drivers.
• Structure financing solutions and review credit approval materials.
• Review and negotiate legal documentation aligned with credit approval.
• Maintain accurate risk ratings and manage deteriorating credits proactively.
• Prepare quarterly snapshots and annual portfolio reviews for senior management.
• Train Analysts and collaborate with data teams to ensure data accuracy.
