Educare of Omaha, Inc. seeks a Certified Lead Teacher for our Early Head Start program in Omaha, NE. This full-time role plans and implements a developmentally appropriate education program for young children, aligned with Head Start and Nebraska licensing guidelines.

You will engage families, support transitions, and collaborate with the classroom team while providing high-quality instruction and ongoing assessment in a nurturing environment.

Formación

• A Bachelor's degree in education is required.
• Active Nebraska teaching certificate is required.
• A CDA certification will be required to be attained unless 18 hours of Early Childhood Education coursework has been taken.
• Two years of early childhood experience in a group setting preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Observe, assess and document each child’s skills and development.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
• Coordinate referrals for children with special needs or mental health needs.
• Contribute to and participate in IDT and IEP/IFSP processes.
• Assist transitions between infant/toddler to preschool and to kindergarten.
• Foster positive relationships with all children in the classroom.
• Ensure supervision and maintain a clean, safe classroom environment.
• Engage families through regular communication and home visits.
• Provide leadership for the classroom team and supervise staff and interns.

Bachelor's degree in education

Active Nebraska teaching certificate
