The Office of Juvenile Justice in New Orleans is seeking Probation and Parole Officers (Juvenile) to supervise and guide justice-involved youth across multiple parishes. The role emphasizes collaboration with judges, law enforcement, and community partners to promote safety and rehabilitation.

Positions are full-time with a Special Entrance Rate (SER) at each level. Minimum qualifications include 3 years in corrections or equivalent experience and a driving license.

Formación

• Three years of experience in corrections or law enforcement; OR
• Three years of continuous active military duty; OR
• Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
• A bachelor's degree.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate services and resources for adjudicated and at-risk youth across a multi-parish region.
• Complete risk and needs assessments (including SAVRY) to guide service planning and supervision levels.
• Maintain regular contact with youth, families, and providers to monitor progress.
• Serve as secondary case manager for youth in secure care and ensure continuity of services.
• Prepare and submit Individual Service Plans, social histories, investigations, and court reports.
• Coordinate placement packets for residential programs and complete Medicaid/IV-E eligibility forms.
• Coordinate Interstate Compact cases and collaborate with courts and social service agencies.
