Wellness Equity Alliance seeks an Internship Coordinator to manage and grow our internship and field placement programs across multiple disciplines. You will coordinate relationships with students, academic partners, and internal supervisors, ensuring meaningful, curriculum-aligned experiences.

The role emphasizes mentorship, workforce development, and advancing public health and health equity, with a strong focus on compliance and program evaluation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 3–5 years of direct, hands-on experience coordinating, running, or administering an internship, field placement, or workforce/clinical training program.
• Experience supporting both undergraduate and graduate learners across multiple disciplines.
• Knowledge of accreditation standards across health disciplines (CEPH/CSWE/ACEN-CCNE/ARC-PA/LCME).
• Strong relationship management skills with students, faculty, supervisors, and leadership.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple placements, timelines, and compliance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS/ATS or placement platforms (e.g., Paylocity, Sonia, Handshake).
• Strong written and verbal communication across professional disciplines.
• Commitment to health equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and improve an internship and training program for multiple learner types across undergraduate and graduate tracks.
• Manage the full internship lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding through placement, supervision coordination, evaluation, and offboarding.
• Maintain accurate records of placements, learning objectives, evaluations, and outcomes in an ATS/HRIS/placement system.
• Develop internship calendars, application cycles, orientations, mid-point check-ins, and end-of-term presentations.
• Serve as primary contact for affiliated colleges, universities, and programs.
• Negotiate and renew affiliation agreements and MOUs with academic institutions.
• Ensure accreditation standards and competency frameworks are honored for each degree type.
• Recruit, orient, and support internal supervisors and preceptors across clinical operations and public health.
• Provide training resources to supervisors on mentorship, performance feedback, and supervision expectations.
• Facilitate supervisor–intern matching and act as liaison for issues.
• Conduct onboarding meetings, coordinate cohort programming, and support interns’ professional development.
• Track diversity, equity, and inclusion metrics within the intern cohort.
• Develop evaluation tools and analyze program data to drive quality improvement.
