The Office of the Insurance Commissioner in Tumwater is seeking an Insurance Technician 3 (Non-Perm) to review license applications, research licensing issues, and ensure compliance with state laws. Qualifications

• Two years as an Insurance Tech 1 with customer service experience OR one year as Insurance Tech 2 with customer service experience.
• Basic skill level in Word, Excel & Outlook; preferred higher proficiency in Excel/Word/Outlook.
• Experience reviewing licensing applications and providing guidance on licensing processes is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate insurance license applications for completeness and compliance.
• Research licensing issues and determine appropriate actions.
• Provide authoritative guidance to applicants, licensees, insurers, and consumers regarding licensing requirements and processes.
• Analyze electronic licensing transactions and resolve failed or denied transactions.
• Maintain confidential licensing records and document decisions in agency systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer service and licensing processes.
