Job summary

Onward Education is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide school-based services in DuPage County, Illinois for the 2026-2027 school year. This on-site role runs 35 hours per week within a school setting, supporting students’ functional skills and classroom participation.

The ideal candidate holds an active IL OT license and has experience collaborating with school teams to support IEP/504 goals. End date is 05/28/2027, with competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois OT license required.
• School-based OT experience or supporting student participation in educational routines preferred.
• Ability to support student needs related to functional skills, motor development, and sensory processing as they impact school performance.
• Strong collaboration with school teams, caregivers, and related service providers.
• Ability to complete evaluations, documentation, and progress reporting aligned to student plans (IEP/504).

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based occupational therapy services aligned to student educational plans and functional goals.
• Assess student needs within the school environment and recommend supports and strategies.
• Implement interventions that support classroom participation, independence, and access to learning activities.
• Collaborate with educators and support teams to ensure carryover of strategies across school settings.
