Job summary

Responsibilities include operating cleaning equipment, sanitizing patient rooms, and following infection control procedures. Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or GED and healthcare cleaning experience.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Loads service cart with materials and supplies for area.
• Operates and cleans cleaning equipment (mechanical/electrical).
• Cleans operating suites with germicidal solutions and arranges furniture.
• Cleans patient rooms, observes isolation practices and maintains sanitation.
• Cleans walls, doors, ceilings, fixtures, and windows.
• Climbs ladders to reach high areas; follows safety procedures.
• Distributes linens and maintains linen closet cleanliness.
• Dust mops, wet mops floors, vacuums carpets; maintain floors/baseboards.
• Collects waste and hazardous waste per infection control policies.
