Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Delivery Driver to safely transport, set up, and educate patients on respiratory and home medical equipment. You will work mainly in the field, visiting patients' homes and clinics to ensure comfort, safety and independence.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 1–2 years in healthcare or delivery roles, with a valid driver's license and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Customer service, field-based delivery, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of relevant field service or delivery experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of similar experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of HME products, services, and regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments for ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Respond to equipment issues, including emergencies when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems during patient visits.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA. Use PPE as required.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, and maintain equipment per policy.
• Perform routine maintenance and report hazards or incidents.
• Process orders and document accurately for patient care and reimbursement.
• Promote company services to referral sources as appropriate.
• Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance programs.
