Job summary

The role requires a Texas license, ASHA-accredited training, and at least one year of home health experience. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for delivering high-quality care and coordinating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice Speech Therapy in Texas.
• Graduate of ASHA-accredited program or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in home health.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Current driver’s license with current automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Conducts patient assessments and assists in evaluating function.
• Develops Plan of Care with physician.
• Performs patient visits in a timely, professional manner.
• Provide skilled speech therapy in home settings (single or multi-family homes, assisted living, memory care).
• Treats language impairments, motor speech disorders, dysphagia, cognitive communication difficulties, voice disorders, and AAC needs.
• Educates patients and families; documents progress and responses to treatment.
• Participates in staff conferences and in-services as required.
