Qualifications

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of residence.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws and in accordance with the plan of care.
• Evaluates the patient's level of function and assists in the therapy plan of care.
• Treats patients to communicate effectively and expresses thoughts according to the patient’s condition.
• Observes, records, and reports patient responses and changes in condition to the supervising nurse/physician.
• Instructs patient, family, caregiver and health-care team in speech therapy areas they can participate.
