Job summary

Traffic Planning & Design, Inc. is seeking Construction Inspectors to oversee highway, roadway and bridge projects across New Jersey, supporting agencies like NJDOT, NJTA, SJTA, DRPA, and DRJTBC. The role includes documenting daily activities, measurements, and progress, and coordinating with senior management to meet project goals.

The ideal candidate has a B.S. in Civil Engineering or at least 2 years of construction inspection experience, with additional certifications considered a plus.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or at least 2 years of prior experience in Construction Inspection through internships or employment required.
• NICET all Levels a plus but not required.
• ACI, NJSAT, TCC, CCTC, and/or OSHA 10 a plus but not required.
• Able to work overtime, some nights, or weekends as needed.
• Ability to drive to and from, on, or around a project site during all times of the day.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Observe construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Prepare daily reports, quantity measurements and computations. Assist with progress reports and Pay Estimates.
• Communicate with the Senior Management to assist with meeting the project goals.
