Job summary

TPD in New Jersey is hiring Construction Inspectors to support highway, roadway and bridge projects across NJ with agencies such as NJDOT, NJTA, SJTA and DRPA. The ideal candidate will grow knowledge on civil construction inspection and compliance with plans and specs.

Responsibilities include observing construction activities, preparing daily reports and pay estimates, and coordinating with senior management to meet project goals. Overtime, weekends and driving to project sites are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or at least 2 years of prior construction inspection experience.
• NICET certification is a plus but not required.
• ACI, NJSAT, TCC, CCTC, and/or OSHA 10 a plus but not required.
• Able to work overtime, some nights, or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Observe construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Prepare daily reports, quantity measurements and computations. Assist with progress reports and Pay Estimates.
• Communicate with the Senior Management to assist with meeting the project goals.
