Archbishop Spalding High School in Severn, MD is seeking a daily substitute teacher for high school to cover classes in the absence of the regular teacher. You will follow provided lesson plans, supervise students, assign homework, and monitor attendance.

The ideal candidate has a degree in education (MSDE certification preferred) and experience in schooling, with a commitment to the school's Catholic mission. This part-time position pays $120 per day and does not include benefits.

Qualificações

• Degree in education preferred.
• Current MSDE certification preferred.
• Knowledge of child development and supervision.
• Experience teaching in an elementary school setting.
• Ability to support the mission of the Catholic Church within the scope of job duties.

Responsabilidades

• Actively supervise students at all times.
• Respond to all parent communication in a timely manner.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration.
• Oversee the instruction of students following the plans provided by the regular teacher.
• Follow the daily routine of the teacher and fill in for duties outside the classroom, such as morning drop-off or pick-up, as needed.
• Interact effectively and respond to communication in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner.
