Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Special Education Resource Room teacher to support high school students for the 2026/2027 school year. The role runs on a steady weekday schedule from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, with a focus on individualized ELA instruction and IEP development in a resource room setting.

The ideal candidate holds a valid Arizona SPED teaching license and an ELA certification, plus IVP fingerprint clearance.

Qualifications

• Valid Arizona SPED teaching license.
• ELA certification required.
• IVP Fingerprint clearance card (current/valid).
• Experience with SPED in high school resource room is a strong advantage.
• Ability to collaborate with general and special education staff.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction and support in ELA to high school students with varying needs in a resource room setting.
• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with other staff and families.
• Monitor student progress and adjust lesson plans to promote achievement.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Foster a positive, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and school events as required.
