Job summary

Princeton Staffing Solutions is seeking licensed Special Education Teachers to support resource room positions at a school district in the Glendale / Peoria area of Arizona for the 2026-2027 School Year. This in-person role is 40 hours per week under a W2 contract, with licensure, CEU reimbursement, and full benefits.

You will develop IEPs, adapt instruction, and collaborate with families and school staff to support students with diverse learning needs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Special Education or equivalent
• Active AZ SPED certification (ADE) for teaching
• IVP fingerprint clearance is required
• NCI certification is preferred
• Experience with IEP development and compliance documentation

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with students, parents, and educators to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Assess individual learning needs and abilities.
• Develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Adapt materials and strategies to support diverse learners in K-8/Middle School.
• Provide targeted instruction and small-group support; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
• Maintain progress records and communicate with families and professionals.

Special Education Teacher (SPED) – Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with students, parents, and other educators to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Assessing individual learning needs and abilities
• Developing individualized educational plans and setting learning goals
• Collaborating with teachers to adapt and modify instructional materials and teaching techniques to meet students’ needs.
• Implementing teaching strategies and techniques that are appropriate for students with a variety of learning difficulties.
• Providing one‑on‑one tutoring or small group instruction
• Monitoring students’ progress and adjusting instruction as needed.
• Maintaining detailed records of students’ progress and updating educational plans accordingly
• Communicating effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals about students’ progress and needs
• Providing support and guidance to mainstream teachers working with students with learning difficulties

Qualifications

• Required Degree in Special Education
• Active Arizona Special Education Certification (ADE)
• Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher in a Resource Room setting supporting K-8, Middle School, or High School
• Strong classroom management experience
• Experience with IEP development and compliance documentation
• Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) certification
