Job summary

Paradise Valley Unified School District is seeking an Assistant Boys Soccer Coach at Shadow Mountain High School for the 2026-2027 season. The position is temporary with a 1.0 FTE allocation, running from November 2, 2026 through February 6, 2027.

The coach will design and implement program activities, supervise student athletes, and model sportsmanship. The role requires strong instructional techniques, leadership, and the ability to communicate with parents, school staff, and officials.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Criminal Background Clearance and DPS Fingerprint Clearance are required.
• Ability to work with student athletes and communicate with parents, students, officials and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assesses student athletes for performance and placement.
• Instructs student athletes in sports techniques, rules and tactics.
• Maintains records (statistics, attendance, equipment, schedules) as required.
• Monitors academic eligibility to ensure compliance with district and league rules.
• Supervises activities to maintain safe training and competition environments.
• Teaches sportsmanship and positive behavior during practices and games.
