Job summary

Paradise Valley Unified School District is seeking an Assistant Wrestling Coach for Shadow Mountain High School. The role is a temporary 1.0 FTE position with a monthly salary of $2,431, supporting varsity/JV programs and ensuring student athletes meet eligibility and safety standards.

The coach will design and implement wrestling activities, supervise athletes, manage equipment and records, and collaborate with the Athletic Director to uphold district policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate with parents, students, and staff.
• Ability to lead and motivate student athletes.

Responsibilities

• Assess student athletes and provide feedback on performance and team placement.
• Instruct students to improve athletic skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Maintain records (statistics, schedules, equipment inventories, etc.) to comply with district requirements.
• Monitor academic eligibility and intervene as needed to support athletes.
• Supervise participation to ensure a safe environment and minimize risk of injury.
