Job summary

UTMB Health is seeking a Data Analyst to develop and monitor health data analyses, projections, and reports used by system management for decision-making. You will work with Epic Clarity/Caboodle, Epic Cosmos, and TriNetX to produce reproducible analytics and decision-ready outputs for clinical and operational teams.

You will design cohorts, apply advanced statistical methods, and convey findings through visuals and narratives to researchers and leadership, supporting UTMB’s mission in health

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required in related field.
• Three years of directly-related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Support high-impact clinical outcomes and translational research projects.
• Perform data curation, quality review, and analysis across Epic and other datasets.
• Construct cohorts, feature engineering, and phenotype definitions.
• Apply causal inference methods and time-to-event models on observational data.
• Prepare decision-ready summaries, figures, and manuscripts for teams.
• Create clear visualizations and presentations for clinical partners.
• Document analytic choices with version control; ensure auditability.
