Job summary

CVTC seeks a compassionate, collaborative HSS Assistant Director to lead health and social services initiatives for Chickaloon community. You will guide operations, manage grants, and build partnerships while upholding CVTC values of care, education, honesty, humor and respect.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a commitment to serving Alaska Native communities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience supporting leadership with special projects (training provided).
• Strong interpersonal skills for diverse collaboration and teamwork.
• Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and diligence.
• Ability to type 40–60 words per minute.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software; willingness to learn new tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, social services, psychology, or related field preferred (may be substituted with 3 additional years of relative experience).
