Flint Community Schools is seeking a Health Education Teacher to design, implement, and assess engaging instruction promoting physical fitness and well-being. The role requires collaboration with staff and parents to support student learning.

The teacher will deliver standards-aligned health lessons, assess progress, and stay current with pedagogy. Valid Michigan teaching certification and health endorsement are required. This position is full-time and on-site.

Formación

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate required.
• Health endorsement (MX, MC, MA, or KH) required.
• Ability to work cooperatively on a teaching team.
• Effective communication with students through speaking, reading, and writing.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office, internet, email, and online grading programs.

Responsabilidades

• Designs and delivers purposeful, standards-based health instruction.
• Develops and implements engaging lesson plans aligned with standards.
• Monitors and assesses student progress and provides feedback.
• Maintains attendance, grades, and required documentation.
• Communicates with parents to involve them in student learning.
• Collaborates with staff to improve school programs and student outcomes.
