Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking an experienced Research Project Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of large-scale, externally funded research initiatives, including NIH projects in Springfield, MA. This grant-funded role runs through 08/31/2030 and requires strong leadership, budget oversight, and effective collaboration with investigators.

You will coordinate research activities, manage budgets and personnel, support study development, and contribute to publications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred.
• 5 years’ experience developing, implementing and analyzing health research activities or related.
• Strong theoretical and analytic skills; excellent communication with multiple stakeholders.
• Must be able to travel to local and national off-site locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all phases of assigned research projects, including recruitment, screening, data collection and management.
• Monitor grant expenditures and subcontractor budgets; assist with annual budgets and technical reports.
• Prepare quarterly and annual progress reports for external funding agencies and contribute to grant proposals.
• Develop and maintain collaborations with participating research sites, investigators, and consultants.
• Recruit, supervise, and evaluate research personnel; support graduate interns.
• Ensure research activities align with requirements and quality standards.
• Participate in data analysis and assist with publication development and study design.
