Peterson Farms Inc. in Hart, MI seeks a Food Safety Quality Technician to inspect, sample, and test raw materials, in-process products and finished goods to ensure FDA/USDA compliance and safety standards.

You'll calibrate equipment daily, perform chemical testing, grade products, and maintain GLP/GMP documentation while collaborating with QA and production teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Reading, interpreting and following written instructions.
• Adherence to quality standards and GMP rules.
• Understanding of food safety guidelines and data recording.
• Team-based work with careful attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Perform daily equipment calibration and verification to ensure testing equipment is production ready.
• Conduct required chemical solution testing, including sampling and analysis.
• Grade finished products according to established customer and quality specifications.
• Test raw materials from storage and incoming deliveries.
• Conduct pre-operational sanitation inspections, including microbiological and pH testing.
• Enter test results and inspection data into the SPC database promptly.
• Complete documentation clearly and in line with regulatory standards.
• Identify OOS results and notify Supervisors/Management, taking corrective actions.
• Follow GLPs and GMPs, maintain a clean, audit-ready lab environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address non-conformances and customer complaints.
