Peterson-Farms, Inc. is seeking a Food Safety Quality Technician in Hart, MI to inspect and test raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods for safety and quality. You will work with QA, Production, and Management to ensure regulatory standards (FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP, SQF) are met.

Your role includes daily equipment calibration, sample analysis, documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement of food safety programs in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a food manufacturing or processing environment preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written instructions and GMP/Food Safety guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Proficiency in documenting and reporting data clearly and concisely.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within a team.

Responsabilités

• Calibrate and verify testing equipment daily.
• Test chemical solutions and samples.
• Grade finished products per specs.
• Test raw materials from storage and deliveries.
• Conduct sanitation inspections and pH testing.
• Enter results into the SPC database promptly.
• Follow GLP and GMP practices.
• Maintain clean, audit-ready lab areas.
• Collaborate to investigate non-conformances and customer concerns.
• Support HACCP, GMP, SQF programs.
