Job summary

DuPagePads is seeking a Food and Resource Service Coordinator to manage the daily operations of the kitchen, pantry, and Resource Room 118. The role emphasizes safe food handling, orderly storage, and dignified service for clients and volunteers.

Responsibilities include coordinating volunteers, maintaining inventory, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and collaborating with staff and community partners to provide reliable access to nutritious food resources.

Qualifications

• Must have at least two years in food service, pantry, warehouse operations, inventory, or volunteer coordination.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Operate daily kitchen, pantry, and Resource Room 118 during meal preparation and distribution.
• Maintain clean, organized, safe storage and clear walkways.
• Receive and distribute food deliveries, including Factor meals and donations.
• Coordinate daily volunteer assignments and provide training and supervision.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable food safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and FIFO rotation.
• Prepare weekly reports and assist with data collection for grants and evaluations.
