Job summary

Stantec’s Lynnwood office seeks an Electrical Project Manager – Federal to apply electrical engineering principles and deliver federal sector projects, including military bases and airfields. Lead cross‑functional teams to meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality while nurturing client relationships.

You will leverage expertise in power distribution, lighting, and technology systems, with PE preferred and 8+ years of experience. Travel may be required; bachelor's in EE is required.

Qualifications

• Collaborate with electrical contractors on design-build and design-bid-build projects.
• Understand and implement project management principles.
• Manage clients, projects, fees, and teams to meet budget, schedule and deliverables.
• Integrate design elements with other disciplines.
• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, lighting, and technology systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of federal electrical engineering projects from pursuit through construction and closeout.
• Serve as primary client contact, building trusted relationships and aligning project objectives.
• Evaluate opportunities and challenges, applying consulting, PM, and technical skills for client outcomes.
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality solutions within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate resources and staffing for multiple concurrent projects.
• Manage project financials: forecasting, contracts, changes, invoicing, profitability.
• Mentor engineers and staff, fostering growth and knowledge sharing.
• Establish expectations and accountability for deliverables, scope, schedule, and quality.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships; identify additional services and new business.
• Provide strategic consultation leveraging technical expertise and Stantec capabilities.
• Support business development through client engagement and proposals.
• Prepare and deliver effective client meetings and project communications.
• Stay current with industry trends and federal market developments.
• Champion safety, quality, and exceptional client service throughout delivery.
