Job summary

Addus Home Care seeks a Family Service Specialist to assist families in crisis through DCFS programs, delivering supportive services in home settings. The role involves preparing reports, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with court-ordered programs.

The position offers flexible scheduling (full-time or part-time), daily pay options, and mileage reimbursement. A valid driver's license and auto insurance are required, with thorough background checks and training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• An associate's degree from an accredited institution is required or two years of work experience in social work related to child welfare is required.
• Must have a dependable automobile, a valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance.
• Must pass the CANTS background check and other required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Work with families in crisis through DCFS and various State contracts.
• Prepare written reports and maintain accurate records and court testimony.
• Prepare and sign client progress reports on a monthly basis with scheduled dates, units of service, goals, and documentation.
• Report all child abuse and neglect and escalate significant events to supervisor.
• Attend all mandated training.
• Work in the home teaching homemaking and parenting skills, and supervise visitation.

Education

Associate degree or 2 years related social work experience
